Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life has been getting in the way of my drawing time.
I created this for a bit of a personal project which may eventually get pushed into something more if I ever get the time to do so. But I thought I'd share it with you guys in the mean time. 

And this....I don't really know what this is? Just sort of threw him together for fun to get back into drawing stuff. He was very fun to make though. I may play around with him some more or recycle some bits of this for other things. We'll see.  ;) Happy weird thing Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Free wallpaper and a new pony!

I doodled this up last night, and as a reminder to myself, I added Cutie Mark above it, to remember to add one (I'm forgetful like that), when I realized it would be fun to have her name actually be Cutie Mark. LoL! And such a name obviously requires an ability to draw and create cute stuff, hence the pencil and crayon. (Recognize them from anywhere? ;D) The speech bubble probably seems out of whack with the photo, since it also looks like she could be sleeping, but it's sort of how I have been feeling lately, as I've had a terrible cold thing I can't seem to shake and am always exhausted. This picture sort of sums up how I feel most of the day these days. As if I could fall over at any moment and either fall asleep or just lay there. LoL! I think this pony is definitely a relative to Pinky Pie.

And here's a couple of wallpapers I drew up last night that I thought I would add for you guys to use.  :)  They are for personal use only and I would appreciate no altering/selling/redistributing/etc. of them, but if you want to use one as your Iphone 5 or desktop wallpaper (size 2560 x 1440), you are free to do so.  If you have trouble saving them, you can download the Iphone one here and the Desktop one here.  Enjoy!  (If other sizes become a high demand, I will be more then happy to create them.  I just wasn't sure if anyone would even like them, so I just did a couple of basic ones for fun.  Leave a comment if you'd like to see more sizes.  :) 

You may have noticed a few changes around here.  Hopefully they will be for the better.  I've been trying to get my sharing platforms on a centralized 'theme'.  And I really love graphing/grid paper lately, so it seems to be part of the basis of this redesign.  Some things are still slightly
 under construction but so far, things seem to be working the way I had imagined them, which is definitely awesome.  Hopefully you'll see more changes coming in the near future.  Please let me know if you find anything that doesn't work (broken links, etc.).

 Just a little silly something for fun to get back into my drawing groove. Still playing around with this style a bit.

 Just a silly layout idea I played around with from some quick and recycled images. Not really happy with it, but I do like the tree in the background a little.

 

 I created this little snail and thought he'd make a cute playing card design or something so I threw this together just to see what it'd look like. I may recycle him for another project though. He came out cuter then I expected.

 Just wanted to practice doing some 'scene' work. I've been inspired by game art lately, which is what I had in mind for this. But it's darker then I'd intended and isn't quite finished. :/

 I'm not really sure what kind of bug this is. A cricket maybe? Grasshopper? I didn't use any references and just created this for practice. I kind of like how it came out though.

 I think I would like to turn this into a Christmas card or calendar picture or...something.

Another practice web/game design idea I've been wanting to do.  I'm not really happy with how this one came out though, so I may play around with another idea later.  These are all for fun and practice so far.  The design layouts have been helping me work on putting my work together though.  And they're extremely fun to create.  :)

 I created this silly thing last night of some things I've already created, just to work on more placement/design practice. I think it looks more like a scrapbook layout this time around rather then a web site design idea.

 

 I liked my busy bee layout design so much that I thought it might make a cool journal design. Except I have no coding skills (or premium membership) so I doubt this will ever be used. Still, it was fun putting it together. I thought it make make a good book mark design, too.

Practice pieces

 I didn't have a lot of time to work on much last night, so I took a few precreated items and added a few new simple shapes to create this as a quick web design idea. I really like putting pages together like this and working on my placement. I definitely need that kind of practice and it's been very inspiring so far. :)  I'd have never imagined that trying to think of a web page design would give me so many ideas. LoL!

Read

I've been trying to push this latest style into something a bit more fun.  I really like where it's going so far.  This is a little practice piece I came up with over the weekend.  I added some texture to the layers.  And I've been trying to create more 'scenes' or idea pictures, rather then just random items with no concept or design.  It's definitely helping to get my creativity flowing.  Creating this way is more about creating shapes then dealing with lines so it's more like putting a puzzle together. 

Food and cats

Decided to play around with creating some foodie items. I really liked how they came out.

I thought I'd play around a little more with the food and cat I created. I can't figure out which background color I like the best. ;)

Butterflies and houses

 Another simple image while trying out this style. I'll probably post more of the butterflies later. I was really pleased with how they came out.  Not really sure what this one is supposed to be though. It reminds me of some sort of logo or a simple card idea, even though I can't think of any sort of idea this would represent for either item. LoL!

Along with my fortune feather teller from yesterday, I created this and couldn't help seeing it in various colors. I'd like to make an entire village of these.
