Circles and some traditional pieces

TRADITIONAL WORK:

This was originally going to be a gift for someone, but then I either didn't finish it in time or didn't think they'd like it so I stopped at this point. Not sure what else would have been added. Not sure it's worth completing. :/ I'm not really sure what Ride on was meaning here. I think I was basing it off the fact that the person it was for liked horses? But I've no idea why I added the chicken. I must have been thinking to do some farm/cowgirl theme, but I just can't remember. O.o

Drawn in my sketchbook with any microns or black inkpens/markers I had on hand. Colors edited a bit on my computer.

Another piece from my sketchbook drawn with microns/inkpens/markers. I really liked this one though. It's so much fun trying to fill up the entire page with meaningless doodles and pictures. ;D

This is an unfinished piece I started awhile ago. I sort of lost focus when I was working on it. It may or may not get finished one day. :/

Drawn in my sketchbook with microns and any other black pens I could get ahold of. The colors were edited a bit from the scan, but nothing else was really changed.

DIGITAL WORK:
 Random Stuff
 Just some more circular doodles.
his was fun. I really really really love these two as characters. I may need to revisit them. I think they'd make for a cute little pair to draw.
This is just so random. I really got into doodling these circle characters. I kept using the same predrawn stuff on them more or less and changed it up a bit each time, so I ended up making dozens with basically very little effort. ;D But I loved how they turned out. I don't know where the idea came from for this. I guess I figured it would hurt having a flag stabbed into me. ;D (I was tired when I drew this, if that helps you to understand where the idea may have come from.) I'm really digging the black/white/gray look. I love the simplicity of basic line art. And I've always loved the Olivia children's books that adds just a bit of color to the mostly black/white/gray photos, so I decided to throw that element in there as well at some point.
 Just more random doodle weirdness.
Just to add a bit of color in with all this black and white stuff. I tend to get carried away with figuring out which color looks best on my creatures. What color do you like best?

I've been under the weather and decided to play around with this while trying to rest.

Tea and sketches

Sorry for being so quiet. Just been insanely busy. :S And I've been uploading some of my sketches and whatnot to my scrapbook file rather then to my regular DA page, just to keep it from looking to terrible. :) But took a few minutes to doodle this up last night. Wanted to try creating some quirky characters and wanted to do something similar to Alice in Wonderland, so I somehow created this. :/

Oh, Can you spot the white rabbit? :)

Just some random practice, specifically working on eyes.

Just some random sketches. Trying to work on my people skills, which really really suck. :/

I've also been putting some other things into my scrapbook file on Deviant art. They may not get shared in other places, so click here if you want to check them out to see if you've missed anything. ;)

Blobs of practice

A couple of scarfblobs based off of this persons animal world creation.

Some random digital practice. Just some quick stuff to try to work on my strokes and digital penmanship.

Just mostly playing around with layouts here as the piece is clearly unfinished and needs much work. But I like the way it all fits together myself. I have other ideas I'd like to use the frame for so I may try to eventually get to those instead of going anywhere with this.

Sketches, horses, and piglet

Just some random doodles or wip pieces.

This was an art trade with Tumbling-Star on Deviant art. :)

And this is a new piece for Society 6. Happy Friday!

Bunnies, envelopes and a card

Below are some envelopes I doodled up to use when I mail out stuff. I think I've used all of these already, so I need to doodle up some more. Not sure if the post office likes my doodling on the envelope(I only go crazy on the back LoL) but hopefully it makes their day and the receivers day a little more fun. :)

I drew this up around August for a friend's birthday. I was really happy with how it turned out as my birthday cards are usually pretty bland or simple. I'm not sure if it's clear what the card 'means', but on the front it says "Wish big" and on the inside it is showing the horse thinking of a unicorn. XD Not sure if the horse is supposed to be the unicorn or is looking to find one to fall in love with. I guess it's however you want it to be. ;)

Still been trying to practice more with my tablet and brushes and style ideas. Always searching for my "look" it seems. :p Anyway, I drew this up and really liked how it turned out. I was thinking of adding it to my society6 page, since I haven't added anything for awhile, so if you'd like to see what it looks like on merchandise, feel free to check it out there. :)

Happy Tuesday and early Halloween! Hope everyone is staying safe in Hurricane Sandy's path as well! <3
