Practice pieces

 I didn't have a lot of time to work on much last night, so I took a few precreated items and added a few new simple shapes to create this as a quick web design idea. I really like putting pages together like this and working on my placement. I definitely need that kind of practice and it's been very inspiring so far. :)  I'd have never imagined that trying to think of a web page design would give me so many ideas. LoL!
Just something silly I created.

Something Simple

I did a bunch of new pieces of the weekend, and basically kept it simple. Here's one I really liked. I thought it was simple, yet cute. Kind of like something on a greeting card. :) Hope you enjoy. It reminds me of spring, too, so it's kind of a brighter picture than the Halloween ones that were out there last week. :)

Quote of the Week

"The woods are full of fairies;

the sea is full of fish;

the trees are full of golden leaves;

let's make an autumn wish."

Quote of the Week

"Imagination is the highest kite one can fly." ~Lauren Bacall

*I can't seem to upload my quote of the week picture at the moment, so I'm afraid this week's quote won't have a picture. Sorry. :)

Look on the sunny side

I figured that since today has been so gloomy and rainy, I would post a sunny pic. I did this one in chalk pastels. I really like it, although I think the scan isn't as good as the original.

However, I have been experimenting with my basic 'painter' feature that comes with my computer and I inverted the colors on this piece. I actually like the opposite just as much as I do the original. Both ways look good to me. What do you all think?
