Mixed Media pages

Still busy working on some projects, but in my moments away from those and my computer, I've rediscovered paint and have been playing around with some mixed media stuffs. I've been enjoying it immensely and I love that its allowed me to be more free in my creativity. Here's just a few of my pages so far I thought I'd share with you all.  They're still a bit of a WIP.

New Changes

Trying to do some new changes to my blog again.  A bit more colorful this round, I think.  Feel free to look around and see if you like it.  ;)  If you find any issues, broken links, etc, please let me know!  Trying to finish up a project currently, so might be a little bit before I get to work on or post any personal drawings, but hopefully once I'm done, I can finally show you what I've been working on.  :)

Really random stuff

Just some random journal stuff for my DeviantArt account. I like the colors all smashed together. ;)

And I"m not really sure what this is for? Just because you guys are so moostashtic I guess. ;D

Beez and stuffz

Just some more random practice. With spring coming, I seem to be particularly drawn to bright, cheerful colors.

Just a fun piece of some random things I smashed in together for something simple.

Rain drops keep falling...

Poor Bunny. I

'm not chinese, but I've been told it's the year of the rabbit. And since I love rabbits, I obviously am using this as an excuse to draw as many bunnies as possible. XD So hope you've enjoyed all the bunnies so far! And spring should be coming in full force soon! Yay! <3

The Colors of Spring

Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Autumn is the other, and Summer and Winter come last for me. But with Spring, I always find that I get so many ideas just from the colors around me. Maybe it's all the flowers in bloom or the fact that Winter is so bleak and white, like a blank canvas, but for some reason, Spring makes me feel creative. So, I have been caught up in the whirlwind of my cut paper, a.k.a. "Scrapbooking", technique again, and here's what I've come up with.

An OWL! :)

Spring is coming...

Spring doesn't officially begin until this Thursday (March the 20th), but it seems to have come early for me. I can't wait to start spring cleaning and for the weather to get warm. I've even started creating some cutesy little spring like pictures out of some awesome scrapbook paper I had. I just can't wait for spring to get here! :D

It's almost spring!

Well, I'm back. :) I've created some new pieces which I hope to scan and post soon, but for now, I thought I would share this little guy. He didn't scan very well since I didn't paint him on watercolor paper, but I'm hoping I can rescan him later and make him look better. I've been drawing a lot of these little hoot owls lately, and for some reason, they make me think of spring.

A little birdie told me...

I did this with my tablet and really liked the colors and layout. It makes me think of spring. :) Oh, and I was in my 'studio' this weekend, creating some new art, so hopefully I can get some of those pics up soon, too.

Some new work

Here's a new painting I created over the weekend. I haven't used my paints for a few weeks, so I thought I would pull them out and create something. I created a few more things, but I will wait until later to post them. :) I also did the scrapbooking method on this piece.

It's all over....

So, Halloween is over. The candy is dwindling, the costumes are put away and forgotten, the decorations look limp and lifeless in the yard, and the thrill of being a little scared is gone. At least for me. My favorite holiday of the year has come and gone. Now what?

Thanksgiving! And Christmas! They're both coming now, and I'm so excited! :D I love this time of the year. I don't know if it's because I'm ready for some cold air after the hot summer we had, or if it's the warm, loving feelings I get from the holidays, but either way, it's wonderful. So while Halloween is gone, there's even more good things to look forward to. :) So, Happy early holidays!
